Lock Me Out 06:41
i'm numb to the sun and my own voice i'm too distracted to make my own choice a wonder, promised by blinking lights a hole for one, two or ten more nights please, lock me out before i give in please, save me from me and my sin play with the spiral that's out of control that breaks me and makes me whole went to a friend who promised me to write a check but i only found a letter and a rope around his neck distant memories revolve around my kids and wife never had time for any of them, but i guess that's life please, lock me out before i give in please, save me from me and my sin play with the spiral that's out of control that breaks me and makes me whole but one day, i will make it all up if i just could give it up

always keep the closet closed clean it up from the outside no looking into me anymore just photos 'til your eyes get sore 'cause i'm a part-time savior i also work as a full-time traitor got more followers than jesus and i'll never go on hiatus i'll always get my photos right wonder what they'll do with it at night experienced my own sick shit my empty message - deal with it for the moneymakers, i'm pure gold 'cause i can relate to insecure 15-year olds doesn't matter if i need someone to reach out to 'cause i've got so many to reach out to 'cause i'm a part-time savior i also work as a full-time traitor got more messages than gandhi me and you, but mostly me i have got no offline life keep the closet locked tight for seven seconds, i am me, myself and i but what about the rest of my life? started out doing something that mattered or so i thought as my beliefs were shattered now i am just a whore for the lens the smile bright as ever, mind and body tense 'cause i'm a part-time savior i also work as a full-time traitor got my own religion because of you but now what do i do?

Consciously 05:57
taking everything giving nothing but death what gives us the right? where is our regret? being blessed with prosperity yet expanding our abundance at the expense of our world at the expense of ourselves though many do see where our road is gonna lead they're waiting for everyone else to make the first step the machines keep running with all of us involved we're all preformed gear wheels made to fit the death machine why don't they see? they have to break out they're killing themselves consciously i want to believe that they will see they're killing themselves consciously are we able to change? are we able to change our ways? to break all our habits? to turn the corner at last? when we get to the point when it's all too late will we just cease to be? or will you save our kind and give us one more chance? i want to believe that we'll someday see we're killing ourselves consciously our time's running up to take our only chance to cherish what we're dependent on while it's not yet too late i want to believe oh when will we see ...consciously?

floated down a river, arm in arm made eye contact with a headless man shot down the mice, yet did no harm at ten o'clock, when the day began walked around the world in about an hour repeatedly flew up and down a tower said hi to the stars on the ice and laughed at the men being bad guys when the man of stone is looking proud and we are laughing often and loud all smiles and never shed any tears a day is as good as twelve years watched a mexican deal an ace found that boring and flew to space but there were coming more and more so we walked through the backdoor and who could forget the ghost ship with the man and his torn jeans we turned so fast, he almost slipped you gotta be careful with these machines never mind the father watching from the bridge he always knew that this would make us rich all smiles, despite the age, no fears a day will be as good as twelve years

so what if it looked strange if they said grow up and change if the street goes downhill might as well have my will one-day visit in another world hello and goodbye, goodbye and hello revelation you've got a lot to learn, a lot to grow periodic destruction leads to grief what comes must eventually leave even space has got no place and i can't find the ace anymore and the belt goes on and on be it late night or dawn whether it be twelve years or a day i will be right there

Isolator 05:05
too much, everything is everywhere cars and noise and stories shared can't keep the whirling head in check need a decompression, a stream of black a filter above my neck (the isolator) so i can stay on track (thank me later) i am alone, i can concentrate i see nothing, sealing my fate monstrous steel and a breathing tube complex world now in a simple cube focus, focus on the task at hand ideas to grab, ideas so grand two slots in black and white and oxygen condense, mass, just count to ten pen and paper, the mind is freed i have got everything i need reach the pinnacle if i block them away when i have it, i'll make them pay expel the light which shines too bright collect the dark which makes me right a filter above my neck (the isolator) so i can stay on track (thank me later)

Look Inside 07:40
let me have a look inside i suppose i know what i will find though i'm curious about the sight into you and your kind you see the devil in everyone of them though you have never in your life met anyone of them you wear the empathic cross around your neck and still don't see that not a word that leaves your mouth represents what empathy means well i don't blame you 'cause you don't know any other way or maybe i do 'cause you have a heart don't you hear what it says? let me have a look inside trust me, it won't hurt maybe i can find the fault and fix it they might take away (what you haven't earned) who are you to decide they don't deserve (the same as you) they might have benefits (by accident) who are you to blame them for nothing? your head is full of fear and jealousy pride and prejudice is all you know but i fear i cannot fix you 'cause i am too naive and have a long way to go i don't envy you life must be hard only hate and blame for no reason at all

about

Derelict Sun Troisdorf, Germany

Having played together in the German Death Metal Band "Expire" for quite a few years, we decided to initiate a new project focusing on progressive music. Since we've always been home in the many rock and metal genres, that is where "Derelict Sun" still has its roots, but in order to being open for new ideas and influences, we won't limit ourselves to specific genres or standards. ... more
